* What do you have for tattoos and how many hours have you put into them?
I currently have four tattoos. The Celtic butterfly on my back took about two hours and the one on my neck took three. The one on my neck is a pride tattoo and it means a lot to me. I used to have several piercings; my eyebrow, three in my ears, bellybutton and nose. But working as a stripper, I couldn’t seem to keep them in. The only one that lasted is my bellybutton! I listen to all kinds of music. But my earliest memories of music are of R&B and hip hop. I grew up in Mass on the East Coast, in a neighborhood where that was culturally embraced. In my neighborhood, there was a program for kids there because we were low income. My parents moved to the US as immigrants from what is now Kurdistan and Iran. There is a journalist named John Pilger. He has dedicated his life to being a voice for the weak. I am really into justice and doing right by others. He’s my idol. I really respect and look up to him tremendously. I see him as an ideal role model. I would urge anyone who doesn’t know him to study his life’s work. He’s an amazing man.
I am also fascinated by Queen Elizabeth, Son of King Henry the 8th. She was an incredibly strong woman. I am enamored by the mark she made in history, and for that reason I find her to be relevant. Her mother, Anne Boleyn was murdered by her own father, and so she had to grow up with that fearful, awful memory. In my opinion, that scars a woman forever. I am sure she lived her life afraid. She was also set to be killed by her crazy, murderous half sister, Mary, who burned over 300 innocent people at the stake. The innocents were charged with heresy, which is a bullshit accusation made to persecute people if they don’t believe in a certain religion. Specifically, the one of their regime.
I also love Kate Blanchett. She’s an incredible actress. I find her to be graceful and beautiful and able to command the respect of anyone. I’d love to meet her. She is just very elegant and that draws me to her.
* What are your hobbies?
I love to work out. I am really into hiking. It’s a great way to stay in shape. I am not very fast, but I like to run. I push myself to the limit. It’s very cleansing. I also love Ju Jitsu. It’s a passion of mine. I used to grapple with a really bad ass fighter chick. In fact, I spent all of last year in the gym grappling. It is so fun learning submissions.
I also worked on stand up, hitting the pads, sparring and heavy bag. I would like to improve my sparring so one day I can step in the cage. It’s a goal of mine to train again. I’ve just been so busy trying to save money out of need that I haven’t been able to spend on hobbies. I will have to be honest, I haven’t played since I was a kid. N64 was my system though and Donkey Kong was the game. I obsessively played that game. But wasn’t good at any of the others.

My favorite sport is by far MMA. Everyone is an individual, so there are no teams, but my favorite fighters to watch include Gina Carano, Anderson Silva, Dan Henderson and Nick Diaz. Nick Diaz is a bad motherfucker. He’s been really emotional lately and having troubles. That’s frustrating for me to see as a fan. Shayna Bayszler is an amazing grappler. I grew up eating delicious middle eastern cuisine. My dad makes this dish called Chicken Bariyani. It’s amazing! Italian would be my other favorite, but honestly I love so many different kinds of food. Chinese, Thai, Greek…it’s all delicious!!!
