Lakers Or Celtics

from about the second quarter on i watched the entire thing smiling. rewinding my DVR to watch Ray Allen drain a 3, wide open, after sasha left him wide open (multiple times). i am not even a celtics fan, but i didn't want the lakers to win. i like allen, pierce, house, and garnet, so i was rooting for boston.

i think the best moment in the series was when Ray Allen sealed the deal and took Sasha Vujacic one on one and blew past him for the lay up, then Vujacic goes to the bench and hits the empty chair next to him. BEA-UTIFUL

Assuming the Celtics keep the Big 3 and the rest of the team together...they will be favorites to repeat again...UNLESS...certain teams make bold moves to acquire Stars/All Stars...for example

Cleveland Cavs--Get Shaq. Lebron, Zarunus, Shaq on the floor together...plus the rest of their team...tough to defend and score on.

San Antonio Spurs -- get Dirk. Put him on the floor with Tim Duncan and Parker. And Genobili. Yikes.

Miami --Get Dwight Howard. Keep the Matrix. Plus Dwayne Wade...this is a great team.

Houston -- Get Gilbert Arenas. Him, McGrady, Yao Ming...shiiit. This is a team.

Phoenix --get Kobe. Keep all the other pieces. Scrap the half-court thing.

Detroit--Gilbert Arenas or The Matrix, Shawn Merion. Or Richard Jefferson. Bring back Ben Wallace too.

New Orleans and Atlanta have young teams and don't need to add veterans. They're solid enough and shouldn't wreck their teams right now.

Dallas/Utah/LA Lakers--may sell off stars and rebuild or load up on a combo of these players...The Lakers have a lot of problems. Pau Gasol was a ghost in the finals. He might not be worth keeping around, to be honest..

The rest of the teams in the league are too far off from seriously contending...

I'm sorry but most of those deals are just ludacris. You didn't even mention the most attractive free agents in Allen Iverson, Baron Davis, Jermaine O'neal, Corey Maggette and Ron Artest. At least one of those big names will be moving and it'll be sure to shift some power around the league. Good point in Atlanta, but I don't think Dallas is going anywhere until Josh Howard stops smoking weed. I sure hope my Nuggets get past the 2nd round. And I wouldn't mind seeing T-Mac get traded too. Lakers need hustle players like David Lee. :(

I'm real excited about this series. I think the Celtics take it in 6. :rofl2:

LOL You must be a Psychic!

Thanks! I follow basketball so little, I'm surprised I even knew the outcome!

What I do know, though, is the Celtics were the best during the regular season, and based on their play, they really deserved this title. It's nice sometimes to see real evident talent and good play win a championship rather than a team just taking advantage of being on a roll or getting some lucky plays or circumstances. Not directed at any recent team or outcome in particular, just nice sometimes to see the best team win.
