Kobe Bryant catching flak for his appereance in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Ad

 Really I think people are over reacting. I saw some of the guys on ESPN getting all huffy because Kobe appeared in the ad. People really don't have anything better to do I suppose. And why is Kobe Getting all the flak? Jimmy Kimmel was in it too:dunno:

Here is the link to a story being run about the whole thing:

Here is the commercial for those who haven't seen it:

Maybe I just don't see what the outrage is about. It's not like this is the first Call of Duty. It damn sure isn't the first violent video game we have come across. I have family members and friends who are in the service and they thought it was cool and didn't mind at all. Heck, one of my childhood buds is in the Army and thought it was cool that people fantasize about what he gets to do everyday. Also, a lot of military guys are avid gamers as well who just eat these sorts of games up.

Lastly, how cool was it that he actually had "Mamba" plastered on that grenade launcher?

When I first saw that commercial I thought the dude at the end was the Cigar Guy from that Tiger Woods photo. Needless to say I am dissapoint.

wow really? who gives a shit its a commercial. i was wondering who the woman at the start is, she is familiar

I had no idea who all the others were.

Well there's Jimmy Kimmel and (I think) Zoe Saldana at the beginning, but other than that I think everyone else in the commercial are just supposed to be random people.

Oh yeah I recognized those two as well, but for some reason I assumed the other people were some random celebrities that nobody knows.

I liked the commercial, I'm glad that Kobe gets to steps out of his shell as a serious basketball player, this guy is so focused on winning that you rarely get to see the fun side of the Black Mamba

What are these people going to say next, "well Jordan would never appear in something like that"

I thought that, too, but I looked it up and apparently it is just supposed to be random people. The guy at the end is a chef (and a big dissapointment), there's a doctor, a Best Buy employee (apparently), etc...

Borriiing! Who wants to see regular people?

I love my country but sorry we are a nation of whiners and complainers. You can't say or do anything anymore without offending someone or some advocate group or whatever.:mad:

I don't really care about it myself. I'm also sure the truckload of cash they dropped in his yard for this had some persuasive effects for him to make the commercial as well.

That was a great ad, seeing Kobe in there just made him more awesome. Hey ESPN, Brett Favre left a picture of his dick in Derek Jeter's new bajillion dollar contract to something Tiger Woods.
