I don't understand, how is kissing fake? It's the exact opposite of fake. And one of the only ways you can tell (if they're good actresses) if the performers are ACTUALLY into it, or just there for the paycheck. You're required to fuck, you're never required to kiss in a scene
When it's insincere. Two people never actually touch lips and just flick tongues aka "Porno Tongue", that's definitely 'fake'. It's trying to be cool but instead comes across as insincere, presentational, detached and weird. Marco Banderas comes to mind. Whereas a girl would just have 'no kissing' in her do's and don'ts. Manuel Ferrara, James Deen and Ryan Madison being the opposites - they're 'good kissers' and they bring the best out of their starlets because they mean it. I suppose now that I think about it comes down male pornstars an how they initiate kissing. As for passion, that's both parties.
In my ideal world I would only work with girls that are okay with kissing, AND open up for the camera. But woodsmen have no pull in the industry unless they produce. I suppose it naturally works itself out as the girls seek out guys that know how to show a girl a good time like Deen and Ferrara.
But in the end it's porn - if the girls new, people will watch regardless of shit performance, and if the guy can get it up, he's got work regardess of wether he's a great on screen lover etc. Ie; Nick "DROPPPINNN LOADS!" Manning or Banderas's porn tongue. Some pornstars are just better at opening up for the camera than others. Unfortunately - being a great performer is only the afterthought -an added plus not a requirement (where the only requirement is 'be hot and new' for girls, and 'be reliably hard' for guys) like it is with non sexual acting. I suppose with the increase of passionate male performers that can bring out the best in girls is a start.
But I can't help but think it's even more tied to american culture at large. We call acquaintances "friends". Whereas europeans see that as odd and insincere - they call acquaintances what they are -acquantences.
In short - you could say that belies a certain fear of intimacy we have in american culture and shows in our porn, action movies, etc. Whereas I find more kissing in european porn, more talking in european movies. But specifically for the porn actresses they're seems to be finer line between reality and performance. I feel it and have heard directors say the same. Perhaps they see they're sexual partners on screen more as lovers than co-stars whereas american porn encourages a more business attitude, and it shows.*
