Kanye West's Gold Digger Parodied

I like Bush.. I think kanye is an ignorant person. Whether or not you like bush, he is still the President. And charging him with such an obserd thing just shows a low class of life. I respect people who don't like bush, they have there reasons, but what kanye did was childish.

If Im not mistaken, but werent people taking "other" stuff besides food, and clothes? People know Bush didnt do the best possible job he could have done but I highly doubt it was because most of the people were African American. And why should he send help if people are going to act the way the are? First off, did they or did they not have a chance to leave to city? And secondly were rescue helicopters not being shot at?
I did have a lot of respect for Kanye West, but no so much anymore.

Kanye is, unfortunately, like most celebrities these days; smug, misinformed, and without forethought. I just laugh when someone who makes they're money by singing tries to talk about national relief efforts or other complex matters they know nothing about.

Fuck kanye.

it's easy to argue both sides of the issue...kanye spoke his mind, which he has every right to. he also echoed the feeling of many people in his community, and that feeling didn't start with katrina, it goes back to the first election.

whether or not it was right for him to say what he did during a fundraiser is debatable, but to say it "shows a low class of life"? i'm not sure where u get that from.

I'm glad Kayne West said it.

Kayne West had an opinion - you may not like it (and I disagree with him because Katrina was beyond black vs white. I've stated before that it's more associated with rich vs poor), but it was his democratic right to state his opinions as he sees fit.

Suddenly everyone is looking at race relations, instead of the usual "sweep it under the carpet" approach and looking suprised when racially-motivated events rollercoaster out of control - and not just in the US:

PS: I failed to see the humour using Katrina images - but that is not directed at iputinwork......

Just a PS:

In a 2005 MTV interview, (Kayne) West criticized the hip-hop community over the discrimination and epithets directed toward homosexuals, "Not just hip-hop, but America just discriminates. And I [wanted to just] come on TV and just tell my rappers, just tell my friends, 'Yo, stop it.'" The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation recently recognized West for these comments, and for the tolerant views that he models

The title of the first single released from Kayne West's Late Registration album was "Diamonds from Sierra Leone". The remix (with Jay-Z) directly addresses the issue of conflict diamonds, which are a major factor in Sierra Leone's civil war.

Kanye West is a bitch. He has no backbone or class. His "music" sucks.

Other than that I have no opinion of him.
