Josh Gibson vs. Babe Ruth

I just watched a movie called Soul of the Game and Satchel Paige said, "Josh Gibson is better than the white man's Babe Ruth." Supposedly, Gibson hit a little over 800 home runs. But since he played in the Negro League, nobody cared to track stats.

What do you guys think? Is this guy for real or was the black man just telling fairy tales.
