Girls Can't Wrestle
This one took me by surprise and hurt. Jon, his real name, was a good ****** man and well liked in the locker room. As Brodie Lee he was a well traveled independent wrestler that found his way to the WWE. He became Luke Harper, one of the members of the Wyatt ******, then went on with Erick Rowan to become The Bludgeon Brothers. He also did manage to win the Intercontinental Champ as a singles wrestler.
Jon left WWE and joined AEW where he went back to the Brodie Lee name. He was made the Exalted Leader of The Dark Order. Brodie ended up beating Cody for the TNT Title then losing it back to him.
Brodie was off TV for awhile and many of us were wondering why. There was a strong opinion that it was an ankle injury but unfortunately it ended up being something completely different and worse. He ended up dying from a non-COVID related lung illness. He was only 41.
