I'm a lifelong Raider fan who watched, remembered, and enjoyed seeing John Madden as our coach. Glad he made so much cash from video games too. Also a legendary color commentator. He also taught me what a Turducken was. RIP Coach

John Madden Rest In Peace.

With Pat Summerrall ...

He had a phobia about airplanes and airplane crashes. He would travel with his family around the country in a large custom made tour bus.

Very sad. Outstanding commentator. He will be missed.

Great coach. Highest winning percentage of any NFL head coach (min 100 games).
Yes, John Madden was very good NFL head coach. Dealing with an owner like Al Davis was always crazy.

Interesting that you would use that picture. With you being a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. That picture was from December 23, 1972 - one of the worst defeats for the Oakland Raiders. Against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Franco Harris and his "Immaculate Reception." Before that, you had John Mackey's touchdown for the Colts in Super Bowl V against the Cowboys. Though Franco Harris catch was better as it ended the 1972 AFC Divisional Playoff game. That catch by Harris is probably the greatest play of all time.

Very nice picture regardless. 🍻
