It was said by several players on the news today that he took Sean's death harder than the public knew. That it, combined with other things this season and in his life, all just took its tole on him.
I'm shattered, it was so great to have him back. He does have personal things he wants to give more attention too and I get that. Doesn't change the disappointment though.
You're right I suppose, if he was to do it now was the time. No shame in what he did for us this season. He is going out proud, with us proud of and supporting him. He wants more family time, I don't blame him for that.
I wonder if he would have stayed if Washington made it further in the playoffs. Maybe he can take time off for himself now or go back to NASCAR. He was pretty much the only person that could keep Tony Stewart under control there.

I'm sure he would have road it out till the end. IMHO He was ready to do this long ago, but didn't want to rock the boat till the race was done.:crying: He will be missed.
He was an amazing coach. How he coached this team to the playoffs after 21's death and Campbell's injury is just freakin amazing! His own players thought it was all over, even before and after 21's death.
