according to a random adult DVD seller site (just clicked on the first one that came up on a yahoo search) Jenna appears in 3 out of there top 20 all time sales. The current top 25 bestsellers include those same and an additional 2 more that aren't in the all-time best.

Can't really make much of a conclusion based on that. she seems to be most popular in "best of" studeo compilations, and mixed performer videos. The vidoes that she is the headliner on don't do as well, whether that is because they are older, or because people would rather buy her with others or they are buying the movies for others and she just happens to be in them, isn't determined. If I had to make a rough estimate, even at 20% of the sales, she may in fact be selling the best for an individual star, but it also goes to show that she isn't consistantly number one rated and that the other 80% of sales are all for various different stars that different people like, and no one really stands out as dominating.

The reason Jenna Jameson could never be over-rated is because of the time that she came into porn. Go back 10-15 years ago and the women in porn were not as gorgeous as they are now. Now there are so many 10s that I can't keep up with them all. 10-15 years ago, this was not the case. That is the #1 reason (IMO) that Jenna Jameson became what she became. She was clearly the favorite at that time because she was clearly better looking than most. The reason this question comes up now is because how porn has changed. JJ helped change porn. She helped make it become more mainstream. The first time I saw her was on the E channel, not in a porn movie. She helped change/alter the stigma of porn to make it more socially acceptable thereby causing more women to see porn as a viable option. That is why she just looks like another attractive woman within a sea of attractive women today. That has not always been the case.
