Japanese election upends long-ruling party

TOKYO – Japan's opposition swept to a historic victory in elections Sunday, crushing the ruling conservative party that has run the country for most of the postwar era and assuming the daunting task of pulling the economy out of its worst slump since World War II.

Yeah I saw this.People in Japan have anxiety about their economy much like many people do.Another conservative pro-buisness party is ousted.People want someone who they think is also looking out for them ,not just the elite wealthy.

Story I read also mentioned they would be more independant of US influence and try to work with other countries (like China) in the region more.Times are a changin,hope we and everybody accept that well.Lets hope for good things in Japan as it is better for all if that is the case.They have big economy and how they do affects not just them but the world as all major countries do.

Having more countries working more with China is probably not going to help anybody out in the long run other than China.
