The Tax Policy Center noted in a study last month that Romney’s promise to cut income tax rates by 20% across the board by eliminating tax deductions for the rich simply does not add up. Even under the most charitable estimates, the study said that Romney’s approach would actually raise taxes for 95% of Americans on average while slashing them for the wealthiest Americans. It's simple math, somehow you have to pay for those tax cuts and Romney wants to stick the middle class with the bill
