isn't this easier on the eyes than the new design?

all i changed are the levels (aka i made it darker) and i added some stuff to the top right (that's melanie moon, before anyone asks). i do think it's easier to look at than the blinding brightness of the current design, and the empty corner at the top right seems like a waste... why not put a pic there, maybe one that changes and updates several times per week/day? or put the current stats of the next miss FO contest there.
what do you guys think?
