I'm all for having a woman on the ticket, even President but have you heard Sarah Palin in her interviews? Is she just the next Dan Quayle?

:scream:

No, she won't be, and there is one reason why: Quayle actaully became Vice President.

Like Plasma said shes not winning so won't be VP.Plus comparing her to Quayle is even a stretch. He should be insulted by such comparisons.

I dunno.

Can she spell potato?

I was never a fan of the guy, nor his pol. party, but that's about all they had on quayle - "potatoe".
One figurative typo and the man's the bane of all American mankind. There was never any objectivity in the idea that D.Q. was illiterate, unaccomplished and unqualified, he just happened to be running on the repub ticket. He might have been ideologically liberal for all we know.

Aside, I don't really give a hoot who's President so long as they don't oppress me with exorbitant tax liabilities, infuse society with socialist - communistic ideals, conspire with terrorists . . .

Now don't go rush off into the archives and inform us with all of D Q's shortcomings . . . you likely just discovered them for yourself . . or not !
I'd rather be characterized by a past misspell than be characterized by having a naturally bent pekker

They are all socialists and Nazi sympathizers.
Everyone needs to look up Prescott Bush, Operation Paperclip, Operation Northwoods, What Freemasonry really is, The Knights of Malta, The Bohemian Club, Bohemian Grove and on and on.

It's just a joke man.

I don't judge him on it either.

There is more than the potatoe quote.

One example of Quayle's thought process is - "It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."

http://www.francesfarmersrevenge.com/stuff/archive/oldnews6/danquayle.htm

That reminds me of a story I saw many years ago on 60 minutes. There was a town in Maine who was having a persistent problem with a "Mobil" gas station leaking and polluting their water. And in the interview on 60 minutes the "Mobil" executive actually said something to the effect that the problem is not our gas hurting their water supply, its that bad ole water getting into our gas.Not quite the same as Quayle just reminded me of it as an example of things you hear and say to yourself you didn't really say that did you?

What about those losers in the Calif State Leg. and their pals over at the California Air Resources Board or "C.A.R.B" who insisted that California fuel must include toxin - Methyl Tertiary Butyl Either (MTBE) into the states fuel supply ? Right wingers are the sole source of this nations' problems ?

My thoughts exactly ! Just don't take a red cent from them and you'll always be free. :D

She's already worse. Dan Quail actually had a few decent moments, but unfortunately for him, he will forever be remembered for the potato incident.

Palin has not had a good moment yet. But I could be wrong about that.

I'll have to get back to ya.

Biden isn't exactly a guy that the dems want talking . . . if you know anything about Biden.

Besides, if obama becomes president, he's likely going to give Alaska back to USSR, sorta like what Carter did with Panama.

These guys are bleedin U.S.

I just want to know how the dinosaurs and humans co-existed 4000 years ago?

Personally, every explanation of evolution that I've heard has sounded just as ridiculous. Until I hear something better, I can't really fault anyone for taking on faith something that I can't even begin to explain.

But back to the topic at hand... I'm looking forward to the debate. It will reveal a lot of things about both her and Biden. Is she really as dimwitted as she appears on interviews or is it simply an overaggressive reporter trying to discredit her? Is she going to speak spontaneously or simply regurgitate pre-scripted lines from the McCain campaign advisers? And for Biden, will he come off cool and seasoned or will his diarrhea of the mouth make him impossible to follow or, worse, lead him into a foot-in-the-mouth blunder?

You forgot to mention that Obama wants to give all of the south west US back to Mexico and the Louisiana Territory back to France.

Uhhhh, dude, the U.S.S.R. never had Alaska to begin with. Not bein' a prick here, just thought I'd point that out.

The United States completed the purchase on March 30, 1867, for $7.2 million at 2 cents per acre, about 5 cents per hectare. When adjusted for inflation, the total sum paid equates to approximately $360 million in 2008 dollars. The land went through several administrative changes before becoming an organized territory on May 11, 1912 and the 49th state of the U.S. on January 3, 1959. The name "Alaska" was already introduced in the Russian colonial time, when it was only used for the peninsula and is derived from the Aleut alaxsxaq, meaning "the mainland," or more literally, "the object towards which the action of the sea is directed."[3] It is also known as Alyeska, the "great land", an Aleut word derived from the same root.
