Is porn at the forefront of 4K technology?

I constantly hear people complaining about the lack of 4K content for their brand new 4K televisions.

But a quick internet search for those in the know would reveal that simply is not the case.

Is porn at the forefront of 4K technology?

One could certainly say that. Porn has always been at the forefront of the latest video tech - except when Blu-Ray came out, because domestic Blu-Ray replication was locked down to a few companies and not within reach of the industry - and it's no different with 4K, though I doubt that porn will be on UHD-BD any time soon, if at all. Many studios have been shooting with 4K digital cinema cameras for years and websites have recently adopted 4K camcorders or digital cinema cameras to shoot their content. Unfortunately, there are only a very small number of content creators putting out UHD downloads, so I can't say that they are really "embracing" UHD like they did HD.

Eventually everybody is going to be forced to embrace it don't you think?

Future 18+ year olds (the subscription website subscribers of the future) will expect nothing less than UHD right?

Don't keep everything.
Delete it and only keep what you desperately want to keep.

Seems logical, most porn is computer based these days, and monitors seem to be a little ahead of HDTV technology.
