Giving that definition, I think porn does qualifies as art : It's a human activity that requires creativity and imaination and that's is aimed to be appreciated for it's beauty or the excitation (which is an emotion) it will provoke on viewers.

I know, it's more an industry than an art but you could say the same about movies and cinema is still considered to be an art, despite the fact the vast majority of hollywood's production is pure garbage
Yeah, it's dominated by massive production companies who produce films that are all the same but you could say the same about the music industry. Still, music is still considered to be art. And they are some more modest labels who still care about making quality content and work kinda like craft-men.

I think YES, porn is art. And pornstars are artists.
