Is It Still OK To Call A Black Girl Precious?

I never saw the movie and I live on the Westside so I have no idea. The movie did seem to kneecap the word which was 100% complimentary prior to release but I worry it could be some sort of backhanded compliment or something more passive-aggressive now. Hopefully Carson Daly can do a PSA so I can properly learn how to conduct my life.

I went to school with a black chick named Precious. She was a bad ass and could kick every dude's ass in the school if she set her mind to it.

Not so precious, I imagine. I worked with a Hispanic fella named Innocente. He was creepy and was the spitting image of the railway killer that was still on the loose. I told him, "Anyone named Innocent must be guilty of something." If you name your kid "Money" when it becomes an adult it will be on the welfare for sure.

Not entirely sure of the point of this thread... Are we making fun of overweight black girls with jokes I don't get?
