Is it ok to laugh when someone gets gored in Pamplona's Running of the Bulls?

Especially when they get depantsed in the process?

I can't help it. If not, is it ok to not have any sympathy for them? No one tossed them onto that street.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
As long as the gored person, has stupidly put themselves in the situation. You would laugh at a dumb fuck on a skateboard or a bike, so why not an animal they should know better then to get close to.

I'd go more with a big sigh and a sad head shaking than a laugh. While I might not think it's funny I do think there are consequences that might be faced when somebody willingly does a blatantly dangerous activity.

On some level you just about have to let out a head-shaking laugh of disbelief at the stupidity in that --- Well FUCK! What did you think the odds of that happening were? --- sort of way. I mean, if you voluntarily jump out in front of a fast-running Mini Brontosaurus with big, sharp horns, there is an extremely high probability that you're going to incur some Friday the 13th movie series type of damage.

As long as you don't laugh louder than the Spaniards who look out of their windows and laugh at all of those folks running from bulls in the street.

I get more upset with people who don't laugh at schadenfreude.

I'll go one step further. Is it wrong to root for the bull to gore them?

The only reason too watch it is for the possibility of a trampling. It's kind of like the only reason I'd watch NASCAR. Well, apart from bulls wandering out onto the race track. I mean, that would be kinda cool but I would much rather watch Ricky Bobby send Dale Jr into a lengthy series of barrel rolls. I just got the mental image of bulls jumping on NASCAR hoods and it made me a little giddy.

Don't they have to sign a waver giving up the right to sue, right not be laughed at, and right not to be looked at as an ass clown... Apologies to clowns :clown:

Yes, yes and yes. It's even OK if it's pants wetting laughter.

You take part in cruel things like the bull run, you get everything you deserve.

For the EMPEROR!!
It's probably not nice, but ...

It is heller fun watching those idiots putting themselves in front of stressed large horned animals and getting rundown etcetera. And yes it's even funnier when one loses their pants or gets a horn up where the sun don't shine.

As Johnny pointed out, it is the only reason anyone watches to be honest.

Just did a quick image search and goddamn, there's a lot of epic bull on idiot imagery out there.

100% fine to laugh at every idiot that gets what he is asking for by getting into that particular race.

The Spanish are so backwards, from history, they terrorised europe with the religious law crap. they still have some stupid things going on, but everyone closes their eyes on them? why is this? because they are christians? because they still have some authority left from medieval time when they burned innocent women alive because they were witches or whatever their sick mind had?

it's a very inhuman treat on animals and such a backward tradition, worse than those mid east traditions you western idiot whine for.
Yes, Spain is guilty for animal cruelty, say it, don't justify them, save the bulls.
as for the idiots who run in front of them, well they are spanish and idiots.

Animals aren't made to be played with, especially something like a bull.
The same could be said about, say a guy who trains a killer whale (don't remember the other english word for it) and gets killeD (already happened). Or a circus guy training tigers or lions.

But humans have that need to always try to dominated everything. They try to dominate as many humans as possible, and they also try to dominate animals. Don't come cry if you get killer in the process.

what humans don't understand is animals have souls and personalities. we need to understand their behaviour.
