Is Ice T cool?

That's one of Life's difficult questions really, isn't it?

"Is Ice-T Cool?"

I mean, he used to be. I remember I had an album of his, back in like 1991, and it was awesome! He also had this phat tune called "I aint new to this".

Let us not forget his film career too; New jack City.......uhhhh...... Tank girl.......uhhh....... That film with Ice cube - Did you see it? These two guys stumble upon a murder and get caught between two gangs at war, trapped inside a warehouse. It starred Bill Paxton and that bad guy from die hard 2. Wicked film.

Sadly, time has not been kind to Mr Ice-T. He has aged and is now a old enough to be my dad

I shall always remeber him though as the hard, gangster, straight ballin', gun slingin', straight talking, bad-ass rapping, cool-movie-being-in (?), pimp mother fucker.

He has done a lot of shit... but mostly I have always like his music from back in the day!

Leprechaun In The Hood?!?

You have got to be fucking kidding me.

That alone not only erases any cool points he may have had but add to that the fact that he actually owned and drove a Porsche 914 and you add a fuckload of totally "uncool" points to his total.

How right you are.

So many good points on this thread already. Is he the ICE-T of "6 'N the Mornin'" considered to have defined the gangsta' genre in rap music today and "I'm Your Pusher" that groundbreaking slick pimp melody or is he cheesy Mack Daddy from Leprechaun 5: Leprechaun In The Hood??

First we must ask ourselves, should we be judged by our finest accomplishments or our most dismal failures?
After much soul searching I have finally decided that man should be judged by how high he has risen not by how far he can fall. For if we can't allow Ice-T his Leprechaun transgression then we would not be able to allow ourselves to erase the image of DrDre "lookin’ like a rap Liberace" complete with eye shadow, eye liner, lipstick and sequins from our memories.

That way they can both still be true gangster rappers with untarnished "street cred" and therefore "cool".

I will leave you with a review of Leprechaun 5: Leprechaun In The Hood.

This film was BRILLIANT! The combination of Anthony Montgomery (Postmaster P), Rashaan Nall (Stray Bullet), and Red Grant (Butch) is stunning! I had no problem believing they were rappers on the brink of making it big. And how great was it to see such a message of positivity? I'll never know why the academy screwed Ice-T out of an Oscar for his performance as Mack Daddy. We shouldn't even mention the magnificent Warwick Davis returning to his role as the Leprechaun. His work was so stunning in this film, I was reduced to tears. In what other movie can you see an evil Leprechaun rap while being surrounded by his green zombie minions? While he was a "Lep in the Hood, come to do no good", this film was far from bad. Okay, I can't do that any more. Want to see a movie so bad you can feel your soul being polluted? Watch Leprechaun in the Hood. If you need a reason to hate yourself, a reason to want to do yourself bodily harm, or a reason to go completely insane with no hope of recovery, watch Leprechaun in the Hood. You'll be a much worse person for it. Believe me.

Nikkala made me do it!
I dunno if Ice-T is cool ... but Detective Tutuola is definitely cool!
