is freeones safe?

been surfing Freeones for years and have never had anything more than the overwhelmance of so much free porn.
The only problem you'll have is when you burn your mind with the overwhelmance of so much free porn to the point you'll have to get your memory erased.

No site is completely safe, even Freeones. Freeones can't control the sites that the pics on Freeones are linked to. I've submitted a link from a Freeones gallery to be removed for viruses, and although rare at Freeones, don't get a false sense of security. Protect yourself at your computer with anti-virus software.
Also, Freeones has absolutely no control over what members post in these forums. So you often find links with viruses on them. We try to remove them when we find them, but there are alot of members here who post alot of links. They don't realize that they may be posting a link with a virus because their anti-virus software is or isn't very effective and made them unaware that the link had a virus, or they are using Firefox or another browser that the virus is not designed to attack.
My point is that Freeones is not immune. Do youself a favor and take care of your own security needs for your computer.

FreeOnes itself is a safe site, but the thousands and thousands of links, particularly user-posted links on the message board, are about as safe as picking up people at a club. :eek: You never know what you're getting into, so "wrap it up" with updated anti-virus software for your PC!!!

If you're talking about the board, its really easy to be safe.
- If there is a link posted, do not be the 1st to click it if you don't know what to do in the case you get infected or you don't have anti-virus (www.bitdefender.com if you want a free-one (pun intendeded)). Wait till other members post saying if its good, bad, or a scam. The best guage for bad sites is someone flaming the poster.
- In general, I'd be suprised if a bad link got left up for more than a few hours, the mods here are amazing at cleaning up the morons.
- Don't rely on rep points to mean if someone is a good person or bad. Rep points are a good guide but not always accurate. Theres only a couple of members on this site that I'd click a link from without waiting for someone to say it was alright, and when I say a couple, I actually mean 2.
- Just think, the internet is a common sense situation. You do things that have a possibility of having malice included in it, then chances are its there. Just protect yourself accordingly.

I can't add anything to that from a PC POV. But, Mac OSX users truly have very little to worry about, and properly configured can go deep in the porn site indexes without a scratch.
But, I'd add that because that's the case for me, I (as well as all of the mods) need to be kept informed if you do find a virus/spyware in a link. I prefer to edit the post by adding a warning to the link, rather than deleting it.
