Is Anyone Watching Taboo on FX???

So who else is watching this weird, slow burning and very well written show on FX that originated in the UK?

It's about a troubled and strange character named James Keziah Delaney and it's set in 1814 London. It's got some of the best elements of Lost, Breaking Bad and even Twin Peaks (if you're old enough to remember that one).

If you haven't seen it, it's worth checking out.

Have it on my watch list but not seen it yet.
Heard it is not renewed for another season, not sure if that is true, but then I wonder if I should even start with the first season, does it have an open ending?

If they don't bring it back and no one else (hello, Amazon and Netflix!) will pick it up, that would be a television tragedy. Boss, a great political drama on Starz, ended when it was just hitting a higher gear. But even if Taboo has to end too soon, I would say, yes, it's absolutely still worth your time to watch it. I haven't seen the final episode, so maybe they will give it an open ending. And given the nature of this show, IMO, that would be OK. Other than Breaking Bad and Rome, most great shows tend to flub the finale (Lost, Mad Men, etc.).

Yeah, Lost should have gotten a much better ending. It was a big let down after watching all those seasons.

I guess I will Taboo a try still.

An FYI: Taboo has been renewed for another season.

They formed the season finale almost like a series finale (and it was quite good, IMO) - they obviously didn't know that the show would be returning. So I'm questioning what season 2 will be like. I hope they can keep up the good, edgy work.
