interviews where pornstars speak out against certain scenes and co stars

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.

Somebody emailed me that link a little after it came out. I remember how depressing it was when I first read it, and it still is. You just get the feeling that the end of the Tanner Mayes story won't be a happy one. It's like she lives on another planet.

As far as being spoiled? I spoil myself. You ride cock for 20 minutes and tell me you don't deserve new pretty stuff.

Wow. Just, wow!

No, it's called being young & not very responsible & careful. Because of this she has had 2 bad experiences (Immoral Productions & New Sensations). (She turned 20 49 days before she wrote that blog)

I personally get the impression that different agent might be able to guide her into the right direction.

(I emphasise impression because I've never met ms. Mayes or her agent (apparently Shy Love) & I can only base my opinion on a piece of text written in a blog on myspace)

Anyway, I don't see how you can draw the conclusion that ms. Mayes' story won't have a happy ending or that she lives on another planet based on what's written in the blog.

Wow. Just, wow!

I don't know what's so out of the ordinary about that... If I just fucked someone I'm not attracted to mentally and/or physically and I got a lot of money for it (which would be the main & only reason for doing it in the 1st place, btw), I'd buy myself something nice as well...

BTW, I didn't post this link so that we could bash ms. Mayes but simply because I felt it was what the OP was asking for.

He asked for pornstars speaking out against certain scenes and co stars and I assumed pornstars speaking out against certain companies was on-topic.

What she does with her money is none of my business...

I don't know what you do for a living, but I assume that you spoil yourself every now & then as well, whether you like your job or not. You worked for the money, you can buy yourself something extra.

Geez, calm down, dude. I'm not trying to rip the girl apart. Sorry if you took it that way. I'm saying that after reading that posting of hers, I felt kind of sorry for her.

She's in an industry that's known for chewing people up and spitting them out. I'm not aware that the porn industry is known for holding girls' hands as they march them down the line... more the opposite. She comes off as being incredibly naive - that's all.

As for complaining about what she does for a living and using that as an excuse to blow her money... if she doesn't like it, she should enter another profession, if it's that bad. No one is holding a gun to her head AFAIK. But yes, it's her money. It doesn't matter to me what she does with it. If she winds up on skid row, it won't affect me or mine. Life is hard that way... time for her to wake up to that fact. But that doesn't mean that I don't feel some amount of empathy for a person who doesn't appear to be totally plugged in.

Naive, not very responsible & careful, gullible, etc. We essentially mean the same thing. Still, my impression stays the same... Considering we're talking about young girls with relatively little life experience, it's up to the agent to protect the girl (that's what the agent/agency is for). If he/she/they (the agent/agency) is incapable of doing that, she should find a better agent.

I also agree that the adult industry has a certain reputation. But considering that this reputation is generally based on the bad behavior of a few companies & people working for said companies, I wouldn't say they're all bad and a young, naive girl could believe that a vast majority of the companies, one of which is run by people she considered to be her friends, to be trustworthy.

She was wrong & hopefully she learned something from it...

I interpret that part of the blog differently than you do.

If I want to tell you why I spoil myself & I work at a tax office (I don't, but this is an example). I like my colleagues, I like the enviroment I work in, I lke my wage, but helping people with their tax forms is becoming monotone. I don't hate it, but it's boring. What do you think I'd tell other people when they ask me why I spend my money the way I do?

I'd say that I have every right to spoil myself after helping people with their tax forms 20-40 hours per week. Exactly the same as she's saying. This doesn't mean I hate my job, it's just a (weak) excuse to explain why I spoil myself.

As she mentioned that she'd been smoking weed since she was 12 or so, I'd say it's a given that her life experiences may be something that I can't really relate to. So the fact that I knew (for a fact) that attorneys and accountants weren't going to protect and watch over me, may not relate to her expectations of her agent(s) and these production companies. If I happened to sit down with this girl, the only advice I could give her would be, "look out for yourself, because you should NEVER trust anyone else to do it for you."

I really can't speak to that. I don't have firsthand knowledge of what the majority of companies do or how they treat the talent. But I've read enough accounts from major stars, like Christy Canyon, that suggested to me that very few of them have an OSHA like working environment. The more major a star you are, (i.e. the more money you can generate for the company and your agent), the better you'll get treated. Kind of like "real life", huh? Some people don't like her and have rough things to say about her, but for another view of the industry, read Desi Foxx's blog, if it's still up. Her postings about porn/modeling agents (in general) closely match what I know about some sports agents that I'm familiar with. Course, maybe she's got a chip on her shoulder or that's just her perspective. But still, I'd suggest taking a peek at Desi's blog. I used to have the link but I'm sure it's long gone from my Fave file now.

Hopefully so,

I interpret that part of the blog differently than you do.

Spoil away. That's one reason Americans are being strangled by consumer debt right now. I used to average at least one eviction a month on people (often younger, single professionals) who felt the need to spoil themselves for one reason or another. Some were actually classmates or friends of friends. I'm not a cruel person, but I've done evictions the week before Christmas. Tears and bawling used to bother me. But after awhile, not so much - business is business. And every other landlord, banker, attorney, agent, furniture store, etc. is going to approach the situation the same as I did/do. As long as you can pay your bills, there's no need to justify what one does with his/her money. Blow it all, if it makes you feel good about yourself... but see where it gets you. Younger people, who aren't long out of the oven, often have to get kicked hard in the ass by life to understand that if you spend all you've got, you'll have nothing for that rainy day (that ALWAYS comes). :2 cents: I've got some healed over bruises on my ass too - so I think I have this one pegged pretty well.

Anyway, good luck to this girl (who I'd never heard of before I got that email link). I really have nothing against her - hell, I wouldn't know her if I passed her on the street. But one thing I'm sure of (based on that blog posting): she'll either wise up, or she's going to get bruised up & battered in this (or any) industry.

I went to the Exxxotica convention a few months ago, and the actress talking on the mic in the middle of the picture was talking shit about one guy in particular, but I can't remember who. She was pretty funny, maybe someone can find a clip out there of the segment. BTW, who is this girl? I guess she's someone somewhat well-known, but I can't say I know who she is :dunno:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Exxxotica_QandA.JPG

EDIT: While I have the pic up there, could someone be kind enough to name everyone from left to right? I only know the 2nd and 3rd girl from the left for sure, and am not too sure on the others.

"look out for yourself, because you should NEVER trust anyone else to do it for you."

Until a relatively short time ago, this was the case in many EU countries. Sure, you had to pay a bit more taxes, but you got something in return for it.

I really can't speak to that. I don't have firsthand knowledge of what the majority of companies do or how they treat the talent. Over here there are companies that treat their new employees without respect as well, but those new employees often leave if they don't get enough respect and because of that, nobody will ever get enough expertise to deliver that which is needed to stay ahead of the competition. Such companies usually don't survive very long (1 or 2 generations, mostly). There's also the fact that unions in Europe are much stronger and prominently present than in the US (from what I've heard), so fucking your employees generally isn't such a good idea.

I understand where you're coming from. But the loss of an employee means more to a company depending on how hard it is to replace that talent. Here, we're talking about porn. There, the value of the employee to the company mainly depends on how popular the girl (or guy) is and how much money she can, or has generated. Christy Canyon retires... it hurts. Jenna Jameson retires... it hurts. Girl, who was a fluffer last year, gets unhappy and leaves... so what? :dunno: Especially now, with the economy down and there still being a flood of girls willing to do porn for little or no money, it's a buyer's (employer's) market. Girls come & go ALL the time. This isn't really a business where the talent hangs around for that long. And just from what I've read, the agency business model revolves around the concept of getting as many girls under management as possible, and then work them until they are no longer good earners. Like I said, you really should read Desi Foxx's blog if you can find it.

I'm sure that some companies and agents treat the girls better than others. But Cassandra Cruz had been in the business for awhile, was pretty well known and popular, wasn't exactly a naive daisy or dumb... and look at how she was treated. She got herself into a jam because of her husband, needed fast cash and one of the sites she ended up on bragged that they had the scene that was so degrading and rough that it caused her to retire. I saw it. I don't mind somewhat rough scenes. But they took her to a motel room and treated that girl like a piece of shit... really! They even spit right in her face while they made her get on her knees. That was one that I actually had to turn off - too disturbing for me (and that's saying a lot). I don't know what she was like before. But I've conversed with her more recently and (IMO) there's definitely something very broken inside that girl now. She even denies doing things in scenes that are widely available. It's like she can't admit what she did.

But back to the OP, Linda Lovelace went on an anti-porn crusade before she died. Several other girls have found religion and just don't work anymore. As for particular male talent, I know several girls have had rough things to say about ever working with Khan Tusion again. But AFAIK, he has very few problems finding new girls to work with. Using an old banking and brokerage term: churn 'em, burn 'em and move on. The girl that gets slapped hard across her pussy, while getting butt slammed and called degrading names (til she cries), might not work with Khan again... but a fresh one will sign up the very next week. And so it goes. He doesn't seem to care what people say. I think he's actually trying to push buttons.

Every now & again, you'll see a girl rattling off some complaints on Youtube or something. But I'm not aware that much has changed in the industry because of a random girl here or there complaining - money rules the day. Either she has enough clout to avoid actors she doesn't want to work with, she quits the biz or she sucks it up (no pun intended) and does what she's told.

This is somewhat relevant but the classic, on camera beat-down of Ava Vincent by Dillan Lauren. Became an instant Dillan Lauren fan then...dunno why, but I love fucking the daylights out of hot, tough chicks...:1orglaugh

board.freeones.com/showthread.php?t=286243&highlight=ava+vincent+fight

Now THAT is called an old fashioned ass whipping!!! Dillan Lauren has got some freakin' moves! And if the only thing someone can say as they're geting their ass kicked is, "you're getting a lawsuit!"... they need to have their ass kicked a second time. Ava Vincent was laaaaaame in that throw down... that she started!

Dillan Lauren FTW! She needs to be on Ulimate Surrender. I'll put a fitty on her!

Okay, I'll cop to being a bad person; that shit cracked me up. I loved how Ava Vincent tries to be tough and says, "Oh yeah!" as her head is bouncing off the walls. Total pwnage. I know it's mean, but honestly, if you don't want to get beat down, don't throw shit at people.
