Interracial couples are no big deal, what world do you guys live in?

So obviously people are tired of my race threads, I will make yet another one because I could care less.

Just what world do you guys live in? A fantasy one?

Look people we can talk all we want about how "progressive" society is and how "far" we have come but we have really not come that far. Just 1 week ago I was eating my lunch and a Black guy - White girl couple finished their lunch, they were sitting behind me. People were looking in their direction and everything, I didn't know what the fuss was. When the couple left people were saying things like "she must be wasted goods" and "first time I seen a n*gger with a White girl who wasn't fat".

I heard it all. Wanna know something funnier? The area I live in is progressive, goes for the Democrat party nearly every election.

It seems that wherever I go there are always dummies stirring stuff up. One time a Korean guy walked into a bar with his White girlfriend and most White guys were shouting out racist things like there was no tomorrow. I heard small penis jokes and everything of the sort and this was in NYC.

I go out into the real world, A LOT, I post on here like maybe 5 posts a day at most.

Sure, I would LOVE IT if the world really thought like that but people are apparently SHOCKED that we view everyone as a race group and that there are people out there in large numbers who hate interracial dating.

Interracial couples no big deal? What area do you guys live in? Because maybe I should visit that area.

Maybe you're just hanging out in the wrong places? You're always going to get bigoted racists everwhere you go and don't tell me Indians don't always look down on girls or guys that date non Indians, that's still frowned upon by many families. You can't get everyone in the world to agree with your position so as long as the couple are happy together they shouldn't care what people think. How on earth do you manage to find yourself in all these places of racial tension, if I was you I'd move, there's loads of interracial couples in London and that doesn't stir up any trouble here.

wow that is interesting
and you were sitting right in front of them?
its hard to believe stuff like this could happen in 2010.

Are you sure she wasn't maybe just a little bit fat?

Well said U. I know of a couple of Indian parents that went ape shit when they found out that their sons and daughters where dating non Indians. I remember one poor guy nearly had his nut sack cut off cause he was seeing a black girl(this sentence is a metaphor that is just here to show how intense shit was about to get in my apartment complex. I don't really think the guys nut sack was ever really in danger.:D)

Also, racism isn't hard to find at all if you are really looking for it.

I thought that must be a metaphor as that would hit the ultimate goal of the Indian parents of getting a grandson which is what they often go on about :D Yes Indians in general are (or at least were) quite against the idea of their kids marrying black people, this largely stems from ignorance as they assume all black people are like what they see on the tv or the ones they hear about on the news comitting crimes or hanging in gangs and because they often only hang around with other asians (what we call indians/pakistanis/bangladeshis in the uk) they meet very few black people so don't get the chance to see that the majority are just as decent as anyone else so they just stick to their stereotypical views. If a son/daughter is found to be wanting to marry a non indian the family won't usually physically attack them, the dad will go on about how you're destroying the family honour and bringing disgrace to the family, the mum will cry uncontrollable and threaten to kill herself and the grandma will start clutching her chest complaining of chest pains. Seeing all this the siblings will also turn on the individual saying look what you've done to our parents! I don't think it could be portrayed any better than Apus' arranged marriage in The Simpsons :D

I was watching the movie "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" and I really liked Spencer Tracey soliloquy line and says.

"But you do know, I'm sure you know, what you're up against. There'll be 100 million people right here in this country who will be shocked and offended and appalled and the two of you will just have to ride that out, maybe every day for the rest of your lives. You could try to ignore those people, or you could feel sorry for them and for their prejudices and their bigotry and their blind hatred and stupid fears, but where necessary you'll just have to cling tight to each other and say "screw all those people"! Anybody could make a case, a hell of a good case, against your getting married. The arguments are so obvious that nobody has to make them. But you're two wonderful people who happened to fall in love and happened to have a pigmentation problem, and I think that now, no matter what kind of a case some bastard could make against your getting married, there would be only one thing worse, and that would be if - knowing what you two are and knowing what you two have and knowing what you two feel- you didn't get married."

You can make as many race threads as you like. It sure doesn't bother me one bit, but what's the point? If there is one place you're never gonna change people's views it's a porn board and you'll find racism everywhere humans breathe. I agree with much of what you have said but don't let it control your life. :2 cents:

I am gonna sound SO racist with this.

Indian people in general are not attracted to Blacks. I am friends with tons of Black people but I will not date or marry a Black woman because, well, I am just not attracted to them. Indian people in general are just not attracted to darker skin, even the darker skin Indians try to marry White or Lighter skin Indians because their culture finds dark skin unattractive. This is the same with Asian people and Asian guys especially, hence why Asian guy - Black girl couples are so rare.

I have nothing against Indians dating Black women but it is pretty rare, even more rare than Indian guys with Latinas I am gonna say.

For some reason I don't believe this post. You say you live in a "progressive" city/town, but speaking from experience I can tell you my progressive city is mostly all right with this trend. :2 cents:

And I'll let you in on another secret. The most segregated group/community in my city (which is one of the most racially diverse in the country), is the Indochinese. White folks have long come around to this new trend, as far as I can honestly tell. In fact I'd go even further and say that white folks are the most tollerant when it comes to interacial relationships. :2 cents:

From what I've seen and heard this is very true. :crying:

And when people talk about not being attracted to x,y, or z race, this is one of the primary reasons why.

No, because American society is like that too. Look how a lot of dating sites treat Asian males and Black females. Unfair really, and Hollywood itself gives most superhero roles to White guys and even roles which should belong to Asians go to White guys.

To bloodshot scott: I have personally found White males, even the young ones, to be really racist behind closed doors. A lot of them treat interracial dating like some sort of politics. I have seen White guys tell Asian guys who are single stuff like "dude you are pretty much hopeless, girls don't really like Asian guys bro". Also I have seen them tell Black guys not to pursue Asian girls because Asian culture is racist against people of darker skin, I mean some even told me not to bother with a Latina back when I was single because Latinas apparently only go for their own men, White men, or Black men.

The old ones, are racist beyond belief. I have seen some married to Asian women look stare at Asian men with White girlfriends and give all sorts of bad looks, some even say racist things like "she must not be able to handle a real man so she goes for one of those g00ks".

White people are just not open and hostile about it, like Hispanic men will throw fits when they their women with men who are not Hispanic or don't look stereotypically Hispanic. White males in most cases (except for that one case in NYC) will be more calm and cool whenever they see a White girl with a non-White guy but behind closed doors most will say the most ridiculously racist things. I have heard my White friends say racist stuff about Asian males right in front of me, they don't consider Indians to be Asian.

I don't like groups of anything. Individually I get along with most people, unless they're just a fucking cocksucker. I don't like your race threads, Revamp, because it makes you seem obsessed with race.

Yet, in a country that is still majority-white (200 million white Americans out of 300), we just elected the first person of color for president. My State is like eighty percent white, and we hired the first Muslim congressman, so your anecdotal evidence means little to me. :2 cents:

I was stating that it's generally true that a person's culture is what determines what race(s) they prefer.

As for women, it's more true given evolutionary biology, as for men it's generally less true for the same reason.
