The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
My internet provider is Comcast Cable. I have what's called "The Comcast Triple Play" bundle, which is cable TV, digital phone and high-speed internet, packaged all into one deal. I pay $100/month for my service, plus a few extra dollars for an extra cable box, fees, etc.
All in all, I honestly can't complain too much about the service that I receive. I have plenty of channels to watch, unlimited time on my phone calls for no extra charge and my internet is really fast. Well, that is, until my service cuts out.
I haven't been on the board in a few days (which seemed like forever for some reason) because all three of my services cut out on me, all at the same exact time the other day. I called Comcast to see if there was an outage in the area, which there wasn't, so I set up a service call.
My Comcast technician just left. I just handed him a check for almost $150. What cost $150, you ask? Well, I'll tell you...
A 2 foot piece of cable.
That's it. I paid $150 so some guy could replace a 2 foot piece of cable in my apartment. Apparently, the cable burnt out, so it had to be replaced. So, my gripe is this, and I'm sure there are a lot of you that feel just as pissed off about this as I do...
Comcast Cable had a technician install that piece of cable when I first signed up for service. Comcast Cable provided that technician with that piece of cable. I had nothing to do with the installation of that cable, or any other cables, that run through my apartment. Yet, I had to pay $150 to replace a cable that I have never touched before? What the fuck? :wtf:
I pay you mother fuckers $100+ a month to be my internet provider, which means, you are supposed to provide me with access to the internet. When your cable burns out, you should fix it for free because I pay you to provide me with internet access and when I can't access the internet for reasons that are out of my control, you should realize that I have already paid you to provide me with internet access for that month and fix it for free.
Internet providers? Eh, more like "stupid fag fuck jerks". Aww, damnit. I should've written that on the check.
