Interest Free housing for Muslims In canada

Another sign of the coming apocalypse... people have lost their freakin minds!

Housing without interest is so so so stupid. So don't give wage bonuses to muslim if they really hate interest. Bonuses are kinda interest too, employer give them extra. If they like bonuses, they will pay interest too. Capitalism and interest were created by god too. lol

Your rage would look a little smarter if you took the time to read the articles you post, OP. The government isn't bending the law for one religion. An arms length agency is making things easier for members of the community within the existing system without changing any rules.

Residents would own a share of the co-op instead of their individual units, and would pay a monthly housing charge -- the equivalent of rent -- along with a one-time entrance fee, said Palmer, who also serves as the co-op's chairman.

Technically, anyone who wished to could set up the same co-operative scheme themselves. It would probably end up being more expensive in the long run though...

Yes agree, why do people not bother to read the stories they are posting, seems like click, click, copy, copy paste, paste.

We already have "Islamic mortgages"schemes like this offered by some financial institutions in the UK without having to implement huge changes to comply with shariah law, these are based around the idea of a rental arrangement.

Isn't what they are doing just a modified version of renting? They might be able to get their money back out of it if they move somewhere else, but I wonder what would happen if they already paid in the value of their living space over the time they have lived there. Would that mean they would have to keep paying after that, if they wanted to stay? If that's the case it's seems like long term it could end up not being that great, or at least it could force them to move to not overpay on the value of what they have.
