Intelligence and Wisdom - which would you rather have more of?

I'll pick common sense over book smarts. I know too many people with vast knowledge that can't get through everyday life. I don't want to give examples since you all know who they are.

I'd rather be lucky than good.

Yeah, well I've usually have had very low respect towards booksmart people and they seem to always dominate the bottom ranks surprisingly easily, while person I have had the biggest respect towards had life experience... It's also said that intelligence is very close to insanity. it's the same things in brain that tend to make people intelligent that also makes them crazy... it's not a very good thing to live with brains overflowing information, ignorance is bliss...

Damn, it's been ages. I remember when we played we were allowed to subtract points from one attribute to add to another on some kind of sliding scale. I'd always be the fighter type so would sacrifice intelligence, to the point where I was forced to ditch any eloquent name I had in mind and pick something like Rognar and could only communicate in grunts or one syllable words. But hey, the 18 Strength and that two-handed sword were worth it. :banger:

Yeah, two handed sword. I was a human.. until I was killed. Resurrected as a halfling. Not by choice. Took a level in ranger, was a fighter. If it makes you feel better, my first name is 4 letters. Just like my real one... Hey, dammit!

You don't need to worry about int. You work at FreeOnes, that makes it a dump stat for you by default. :D

It's been working for Anders for years and he's still here. And he doesn't even have any charisma. His hair style is so passee.

Agree - I pick Wisdom for that reason

I have a friend who has a Masters Degree - is damn book smart. He might be the single dumbest "life smart" person I have ever met. He gets taken advantage of all of the time in his dealings. He way overpaid for this car, house, airplane tickets, hotel rooms, etc.

It hurts to hear him talk about "real life"
