Bob Ross' voice puts me to sleep.
Could you imagine that voice reading Good Night Moon?

Go to the nearest college book store and by the book for the Psych 101 book......I remember from days at The Ohio State University, the Psychology 101 textbook is a certain cure for insomnia.

Where I am they show him @3AM. So I guess they are trying to make sure we are well rested. :)

A good round of sex always helps

I used to have bad episodes of Insomnia when I went through rounds of anxiety attacks, best thing is to not stress about it....your body will eventually make ya pass out...LOL

I never sleep more than four or five hours a night. Doesn't matter how tired I am. It's part of my charm. It allows me to get a lot of reading and writing done, though. :)

I have ambien to help. Nights when I really need to get some solid sleep, I take it. It guarantees me about 4 hours, and doesn't make me dopey the next day. Talk to your doctor - Ambien, or Ambien CS is the way to go. There are generic versions of it, which are cheaper.

:2 cents:

I concur with lurkingshitface, Ambien works wonders

I've always had sleeping problems. For the last 2 1/2 years, I've taken sleep medication every single night. It started off with blood pressure pills, then muscle relaxers, then tylenol PM, then nyquil, a couple different sleep aids, and now, for the last year, it's been advil PM. I got rid of the tylenol because it made me sick to the stomach one night. I tried going to the doctor for my sleeping problem, so he ran some tests on me to see if there was something he could prescribe me to, but on my follow up visit, he didn't say anything about my sleeping problem, and instead talked to me about quitting smoking. Worthless.

/\ well.. smoking is a stimulant. that was at least somewhat merited.

and yes, there are several sleepy time teas you can try. beware with any other teas. even white and green has caffeine and will keep you up. black teas are almost as bad as coffee.

Buddy, I swear I'm not coming around here looking to contradict you, but I have to again. :D Even Black Tea contains roughly only half the caffeine of coffee, and there is also the difference in delivery/absorbtion between the two beverages. The lower caffeine in tea tends to not affect a person as much as the same amount of caffeine in coffee/soda/whatever would. That's what several Google searches say, and it's what my body says.

I read an in-depth book about the history and methods of tea. I've never tried this, but I trust the source. If you want to decaffeinate regular tea, make a pot as usual, wait about 30 seconds, drain the water out and refill. According to the experts, all appreciable amounts of caffeine will be flushed out by this method, but you'll still have tea.

hey man, its all good. ;)

i can agree with you on some of this. for instance, iced tea and coffee i cant even drink. and soda is even worse, i dont touch that shit ever. i get really fucking jittery from the caffeine. but, black tea, such as oolong, which has a lot of caffeine to someone like me and has more than regular iced tea, doesnt get me jittery at all. in fact, i feel rather good. i take oolong often actually, its my favourite. the chinese know whats up with tea for sure.

so yes, yea is totally different to a lot of people. herbal teas are even better as far as low caffeine content.

ehhh, i'm at odds with sleep, my body sleeps too much for it's own good if i let it...if i could i'd happily sleep once a week :dunno:

Insomnia does suck but life is short might as well make the most of it by staying awake
