Well its not so much of perception as it was due to the reality that indian women even though hot enough to make it in the top lists back in the day, they were not really exposing themselves the way western women were which didnt make them as attractrive as their western counterparts. that definitely is a part of it. one of my friends, who is white, and who also has his eye out for indian women said to me something like this- they are like women from the 1940's or 50's. they have personality and spark, but they know their place, and dont mind trying to look good for men, and actually enjoying being feminine. they like being real women and they enjoy real men. they wont find it entirely insulting if you throw a little sexual harassment their way, unlike most all western women. and they just have that sexy, exotic look to them which adds to their total sexiness.
