Okay, I have to rant about this situation. I appoligize if it has been discussed before. But it is really pissing me off. Did this Imus guy really say anything worse, or even as bad as some black comediens say about white people? You have Martin Lawrence and Chris Rock making racial slurs constantly. I've watched them on tv several times, and every joke they do is about a white people. Every other word is cracker. Why is this acceptable, but if someone says something about one of them their racist and it seems like a federal offense?

Im with you on that, what about that Dave Chappelle show, there are two sets of standards for what whites and what blacks can say. This country has come too far since the 50's to have people drive a wedge and cause more seperation between the races especially with the words that a disc jockey spews. The lyrics of 5 of the top 10 rap songs that are currently on the charts refer to women as ho's. Imus is just an easy target and Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton need to focus on matters that are truely affecting the black community like black on black crime. But they are too cowardly to champion a cause that might require a little effort.
I just wish everyone could get past it and live in peace. It's 2007, lets get by the color of a persons skin. If it wouldnt be brought back up constantly with this kind of stuff people would forget about racisim. Either punish both sides for the same things or do not punish either.
I CANNOT believe the number of WHITES in this country talking out of their ass, defending the atrocious things that crazy old bigoted horses ass had to say, by bringing up blacks from Snoop-dog to Martin "the drunk" Lawrence.

You cannot apply the standards of rappers or comedians(of ALL people) to someone who every day has a politicians and even presidential candidates coming on to kiss his ring.
Stern is a shock joke, but even HE is smart enough to make racial jokes in the form of satire, rather than just rant something incredibly racist/sexist out loud, which is an excellent reflection of his mentality.
