Image Shack WTF??

I know that most of us use it which is why it deserves a thread - and an explanation -if they allow hotlinking than why was it disabled for freeones???

Yeah, it seems all the imageshack links have been disabled. I was worried this might happen one day here, as I've seen it done on one other porn related board. Since then I have begun using other image hosting sites mostly. Maybe they'll be restored, but I kinda doubt it. Now all our the cool links out there will have to be redone. Oh well...

I use filexoom. It rules all. No bandwidth problems for me yet but sometimes it doesn't work for some reason. It is the best image hosting.

Only all the animated imageshack links have been deleted, the still sig's such as Calm and Civickillers are still on the board. Thats why I've changed mine to one of my private accounts.

When I switched posting my random porn pics from imageshack, I went with imagegravy because it allowed me to create viewable galleries by all. I just checked my imagegravy links and wouldn't you know it... now image gravy seems to have changed, and deleted all my pictures and galleries...

Son of a Bitch!!! Between them and imageshack, I've lost every freakin picture I've ever posted on this board now! LOL

I was just going to start a thread on that.

I found that the pictures are still there, the site is blocking any access from freeones domain. If you click properties, and paste the url into an open window, you will see the picture. Also I found two other things. Once I did that, the picture appeared back in the post until I hit refresh. Also when I saved the image by right clicking the chameleon icon, it saved the original picture, not the picture of the chameleon.

Haven't they periodically done this in the past and then allowed it again?

I think there must be something else - I received 2 still signatures 3 hours ago and everything was all right, but I have frogs instead of them now... :dunno:

Like I said, the pictures are still there, you can get them back, at least the ones worth going through the trouble, but most porn I sent to magicteapot, and they still seem to be there although you can't add new ones.

Because they make it clear they don't allow porn, and they get a lot of clicks from Freeones IP, because a lot of people post a lot of porn there. They are now blocking the IP. Glowfoto.com is now blocking.

Ah hell I don't know, maybe it is just a bandwidth problem, but that "hotlinking has been disabled to this domain" message hasn't appeared here before. It has always said "bandwidth exceeded" instead. Whatever...screw you imageshack! LOL

No, I can't. I posted mine somewhere else, that locked me out, and put it somewhere new for a 3rd time.
