it really doesn't matter what your financial status is.
and prenups can be used as toilet paper many times.

reality is that once a man gets married he just gave the wife some serious power and leverage.
and if you have kids, forgetaboutit.
you'd better pray she doesn't want you out of the picture.

Thats the way the legal system has it set up.

I've known guys of average income who's wives kicked them out.
Got restraining orders on them because judgesgive those out like candy on halloween.
took all the money in the accounts.
and the man had to still pay the mortgage ( sometimes when her new boyfriend is living in the house), the bills, child support, health insurance and basically anything the women and her lawyer asked for.
many men wind up putting a bullet in their head because not only did they lose their family but they are treated like criminals by the court system.

I know i'm negative but i've seen more marriages end like that than live happily ever after.

well said. you must be reading my blog, or podcast, or went through a similar personal hell :glugglug:

well said. you must be reading my blog, or podcast, or went through a similar personal hell :glugglug:

i was never married, but i went through a custody ordeal.
to get a little personal, i raised my son alone with the help of a paid nanny from the time he was 2 months old when his mother took off until he was about a year and a half old.

then one day the cops knocked on the door and said the mother wants my son.
I couldn't do a thing.
Imagine someone just taking your baby away from your arms and you don't even know to where.
One cop was actually crying and had to leave the room.
And there is no one to help you.
the contrary, everyone, the police, the court workers, the judges, treated me like a criminal.
no right or wrong, no compassion, no empathy, just you have a penis, she has a vagina is what it boils down to.

from that point on it was 3 years of hell thanks to the heartless greedy mother and the new jersey family court system.

the details would make you sick.
so yeah, i know a little about how it works.

Prenup would definitely be essential if I had any sort of significant net worth. I don't work my ass off just to lose it over disagreements.
