If you were a celeb, would you check message boards?

Would you trol around different message boards to see what people are saying about you if you were famous? Would you act like you are someone else and talk shit to try to instigate negative conversation about yourself if you were famous? Do you believe that there are celebrities out there who do this?

Sounds like it could be fun, I bet some of them have done it before.

Hell, loads of celebs have myspace pages which they run themselves, so they probably spend time cruising forums.

I'm gonna guess that Christmas Ape is Tom Hanks, and DrDeath is Angelina Jolie. (Yup, that means kittykat is Brad Pitt ;))

I'd look around the net.

They probably do.

Hell yeah I would, it would be funny to see what people jealous of me try to bash me with. Then I would make an account and do it to them (not let them know it was me though.)

I wouldn't do it just to check up on myself. I might do it just because I like being on some messagebaords however. People not knowing whom you are might be an advantage when trying to have a normal conversation with everyday people.

That's a really good point which makes me wonder how many celebrities actually do that.

Well, if they come here, joke's on them.

Heck yea! Anything for fans right? *whistles*

A lot of celebs are too busy doing their thing and making money and fame to worry or think of that. It's a 24/7 job for a lot of them.

And what about the rest of them?

If I was at least even semi-famous I think I would do that. It might be a great way to get away from all the phonies that are around you all the time.

I would let my PR people do that. I would not waste my time worrying about what people are saying about me like some 16 year old girl looking for acceptance. If I was rich I wouldn't give a dam what people thought about me. I would be too busy having sex with playboy models, Victoria secret ladies, a few porno chicks, driving fine cars and doing what the fuck I please in my mansion or traveling the world.

I wonder how many of them think the same way and then end up flipping out or realizing how hollow their life is later on when they find out the couple of toys they had and their fame were the only thing giving their life meaning.

I would... just to talk to people because I'm sure it would make their day to be able to talk to a celebrity and tell people they had a conversation with one.
Assuming I wasn't out changing the world, sleeping around, and buying huge houses.

I would say anyone who puts their value in material things is headed on a dangerous path but I see why they would do that. In our society what else does one have to give their life meaning? If they lose their wealth they will feel hollow but they were probably feeling empty before they became wealthy.

I'm not sure. I wish I had enough money so I didn't have to work.
I feel hollow working in modern day slavery, barely making ends meet.
Working for people who don't care about their workers.
Only their business and the bottom line.

Money can be good for that. You just have to keep your ego in check. ;)
