Wouldn't this criteria also apply to the person who cares enough about their overall rep count to start a thread complaining about it? I mean, it's a number and it's slightly decreased by this action .... wow. I don't neg rep people, at least I haven't for a good couple of years. But given the nature of my posts I do get "negged" on occasion, it would be very petty of me to broadcast that particular action and the individual involved when it happens to the rest of the board as would "negging" them back.

I am new and don't quite get the rep thing, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and therefore should post what they want (as long as it is not a direct attack on one another). So, no I would not give a negative rep.
And there is nothing wrong with being homosexual IMHO - I am sure a good number of you look for girl / girl scenes and pics!
