Hawaii. When will this die? Seriously, I'm GOP to the core, but this shit is absolutely ridiculous. And at this point, it's irrelevant. Nothing new is going to be discovered now. It would have already happened during the two years between the announcement of his candidacy and the election. He's the President now deal with it. I was also taught that Africa was a continent. Did I miss out on a global event again? Are they a gigantic union now?

When he was born, it would be easy to fake the birth in the US (Hawaii). You call the papers and anounce the birth. The beinfits of being born a US citizen are overwelming in favor of trying to fake it. Ask any kid born to a illeagle in this country versus their parents country.
The certificate of Live Birth the media keeps showing means nothing. It is not a Birth Certficate certified by the hospital. I was born close to the same time period and my birth certificate has my footprint on it as required by law.
But, face it. He is the pres. It cannot be proven without a doubt that he was born in another country, so the doubters have to rely on the pres to admit he was not born in the US. That will not happen.
I like the guy well enough, but I do not think he will be in the History book for more than just being the first half black pres. He is not the leader I want shaping my country. I will have my chance in 3.417 years to "Change".

If Orly Taitz is the best that the Birther movement has, then Obama has nothing to worry about. She didn't answer a single question that was posed to her. All she wanted to do was spout off her completely implausible rhetoric. She comes across as a crazed lunatic. This is the stupidest movement I could possibly fathom. I dislike Obama as much as the next guy, but seriously, anyone supporting this needs their head examined. They just can't be taken seriously.

Jeez... Some people. I'm pretty sure we would have figured out if he wasn't a REAL US citizen before he became president. I mean I'm sure the republicans did their digging to try and find ANYTHING that could eliminate him..
But what I don't get is why doesn't Obama save himself the headache, get the ORIGINAL birth certificate, state the name of the hospital he was born in and if need be show the hospital records, I mean they can't argue with proof.

I agree the repub's would have done/do whatever it takes. But, with the media in the tank for him, the congress and senate in the dem's hands, the repubs do not have much strength.
Look at what happened with ACORN and the Black Panthers during election time. The Dem AG refused to investigate it. So even if the repub's get something legit, there is nothing that can be done until the next election.
My guess that is why the spending is being rushed through without reading the actual bills, before they loose the absolute power to do what they want.

As I stated above, it would be easy to fake the birth back in the early '60s. The motovation is not the he "May" become pres later in life, but he would have a better life being an american citizen by birth.
All I ask is produce the OG Birth Certificate with the required footprint on it, not the "Certificate of Live Birth" that is being thrown around.
