Just to become a resident (not even talking citizenship), would you still move there?

There's been a huge push here in the NL for a fingerprint database. Well, that was shot down by the privacy watchgroup over here. Now the immigration minister wants to collect the fingerprints of all non-EU immigrants, even if you haven't broken the law and are a perfectly legal resident.

So I'm just curious of the thoughts of folks here. Would you move here if you could, if you were already here would you consider leaving, or do you feel that you have to do whatever the government wants for the privilage of your over priced piece of plastic that says you're a legal resident?
