rap which is for the most part associated with blacks. And its clear that that association is not seen as a positive by the majority white community
severall comments upon that statement:
1. I am in the minority of the white community.
2. But I do not think that the majority of white community does not like rap, so my first comment is irrelevant,
3. I do not find association with a rapper insultive.
4. Rap does not have a color. Music is the universal language which ain't got no color. I do not like when people say that rap is black or rap is for blacks. It has some origins and history, but the fact that this style was originated by black people doesn't mean that it belongs to them only. Some things are invented by whites, some by blacks, some by asians etc.
Who invented radio? White guy. Who invented penicillin? But that does not mean that radio or penicillin are for whites only. The same shit is with rap. No matter who invented it, it is common property worldwide.
People of any race can enjoy stuff made by Michelangelo or Mozart, without been classified to a certain race group or something like that. WTF wrong with rap? It is just a style, just a music genre, with absolutely different sound, lyrics, message, and many rappers are 100% antipodes to each other. Those who group "all rap" in one heap just do not know what they are talking about :hatsoff:
5. all the above considered,
a) I think there is nothing insultive for Obama,
b) there is nothing racist in such like association,
6. Still, there are way too much Obama threads :thefinger
PS: as for the Bush - there is ragga/rap group called Da Bush Babees
