The problem with stats is they are only as good as the source they came from, and IAFD stats are complete and utter rubbish, according to them I've made 9 films and retired in 2012!
I've made to close to 1000 films and have no intention of retiring, and to add insult to injury I have to pay them to get my data corrected ... they can ***** on, and they takes no interest in web based films which account for 99.99% of most girls filming - so IAFD is about as much use as a chocolate tea pot:hairpull:

A misconception by me?? Lol well I just watched her interview and from the *****'s mouth she actually retired in 2009.. I think you are just looking on internet databases man instead of actual information from actual insiders. I can link the YouTube video into my post. She technically retired in 2009! Well you are wrong. As for the number of scenes I thought I saw 450 but it's only off by a few scenes anyway. My point was she did a lot of scenes in a short amount of time. At least that was my point before your boneheaded response.

I looked at Sasha Grey's iafd entry more closely. It's definitely documented like you say. Kudos to you. Her scenes tend to end in 2008. The scenes in 2009 and in later years are grayed out, meaning they are compilations of previous done work.

@John_8581 Yeah this is interesting, but did she get paid for the compilation? I don't know how that works really when it comes to how she gets paid or if they were just holding on to those scene for a later date and already got paid for those scenes upfront ? I feel like she would have already been paid upfront. Regardless it is confusing how those dates seemed to indicate she was active until 2014 and I saw that myself when I looked at her information and stats. I like Sasha a lot , not her porn but just her in interviews, her intelligence and her personality.

She gets paid, like most performers, at the time those shoots were done. Probably as an independent contractor (1099) rather than as an employee (W-2) - if the studio or the production company makes a compilation video (its all money for them) though they may inventory those scenes and not release them until it is time to do so. Just look at what the major studios were doing during the Pandemic? Creating compilations from scenes that were already made months or years before. The studios could monetize those scenes later onto ******* or some other platform. I know of one studio in particular,
