Looking through the newest posts, I stumbled over this thread...

I had been voting someone in the newcomer category purely based on looks. I admit that I don't follow much the boards, and have started to do so only recently. It's not just some OCSMs who come here only when it's time for voting, also regular members

Should I continue to vote for someone who doesn't actively promote themselves, just as an encouragement? Or should I rather vote for someone nice like Holly Rydem? I think Holly really deserves a vote. And so, starting from tomorrow, she will have one of my votes in the Newcomer category. OCSM is a much tougher decision for me...

I'm not even happy with the amount of votes for members. 10 votes with 6 categories in the first round aren't enough. I would have appreciated it more if we had:
3 votes x the categories in Round 1; 2 votes x the categories in Round 2; 1 vote x the categories in Round 3
