get a prepaid gift card for a set amount ($25? $30 $50) and you don't have to worry about using your personal credit card. some sites may not accept it because they cannot re-bill if it has a monthly re-billing. also and site that offers a trial membership is also going to have only limited access,you aren't going to pay $3.99 for a 1day pass and have full access to just download EVERYTHING (they aren't that stupid!) you will get access to probably a few older things and have to sign up for a Full membership to access anything else
