I hate H1N1 virus !

Hi you all.

My sweet little 2 years old daughter is now infected with H1N1 virus.
I just want to say how much I hate the person or the thing who created this horrible virus !

I know she will be better soon cos' she has a strong temper like her father, but I can't admit she has been infected !

Sorry, to hear.

But don't worry too much H1N1 or Swine Flu is actually just like any other flu. Of course it's not harmless, just like the 'normal' flu, but there are even worse infections.
Just give her the needed medication, etc...

I'm sure she will be better soon then. :)

Get well soon little girl.

She'll be fine ez! I have had contact with parents whose young 'uns have had it - and they recovered to full strength within no time. Lots of Love, lots of rest and lots of water.

Luckly the H1N1 isn't as bad as everyone thought and what we saw in the media was just fear mongering now. Though I do fear this flu season will be worse than usual since people don't have resistances to this flu yet.

But as long as she gets her medicine, washes hands, etc, etc she'll be fine without a doubt. 2 year olds are tough little rug rats. :)

Hope she starts feeling better soon!

this will probably spark polarized opinions, but what is everyone's thought on flu shots? yea or nay? my wife is 100% against them, but I've got to say I can see the benefits for some people. I wouldn't get one myself, because I'm a healthy in-shape person who's immune system can fight most diseases. But what if you're 70 and not in the greatest shape? More importantly, what about children? Do the risks outweigh the benefits?

what's everyone's thoughts on the flu shots/flu vaccines? would you take them? would you give them to your children?

sorry, i thought my last post got deleted. i tried to put the reader's digest version up, then realized what I did. my apologies.

You're not talking about the Len Horowitz "vaccines are a form of mass murder" insanity are you?

For the young and old who's immune systems aren't as well constructed as that of an adult they are a necessity. The number of old people and children who die each year through the simple act of becoming infected with the flu virus would be much higher if it were not for the vaccines that are available. Those along with those individuals who are immunocompromised for whatever reason.

Vaccines are a fantastic tool in fighting off these sorts of infections. Especially for those I have mentioned and it woould be foolish for those people in those categories not to be vaccinated against such an easily defeated virus, it would also be foolish for parents to not vaccinate their children as well. I'm surprised to hear that someone is completely against them. I would have to think that they were picking up the wrong information from somewhere or someone.

ya, but most studies are done by the drug companies. can we honestly believe what they have to say about a drug they developed?

Sucks to hear that. I'm sure little Eztebana will be fine. Kids' immune systems are 'built Ford tough'.

Hope your little one gets better. I don't have any more advice other than what's been offered already. You have my sympathy...

That's too bad. I hope she gets better soon. Take good care of her! Oh, do you know how she caught it?
