I feel like a elderly man needing to make my opinion heard through print.
I've had 3 printed in my local paper. All regarding gun control. I am against it.
Do you get any sense of satisfaction from seeing your views in the paper? It's cool to see my name mentioned, but that aside, I don't feel much excitement.
I just got back from Golden Corral. Now I'll watch a little Fox News and go to bed at about 9. Then at 3;00 I'll have to get up for a misty stop and go piss.
Will it be misty and stop and go, though?
Yes I did actually. I was VERY annoyed by the original op-ed article for the first letter, and it was very nice to be able to verbally bitch slap the ignorant, misinformed author. I must admit, the following 2 did not give me as much satisfaction, but I was very surprised the paper printed them, seeing as how it's a very liberal publication, and my letters refuted staff writers. I do give the paper props for allowing the other side to voice their (my) opinion though.
By the way, congratulations. Even if you don't feel as satisfied as you had hoped, or expected....they only have so much space, and believe it or not, they get a lot more letters than you think....you are among the very few.
I have had too many to count printed in the local paper
My proudest one is having one printed in MAXIM! I have that issue and treasure it (NO - I will not say which issue)
Challenge accepted.
I feel like a elderly man needing to make my opinion heard through print.
Why?
Which paper or magazine?
See, I told ya so. The power of the sharply worded letter. Are you now ready to run for town counsel?
Anyone else smell Ben-Gay?
I can't rightly say why I felt the need to do so, even with every other article or op/ed that I've had an opinion on or that I've disagreed with; I just did.
The Washington Post.
