The 6 months I've spent in Windsor in '75, there were 3 murders a day in Detroit, crossing the bridge to go buy cigarettes and alcohol at a cheaper price meant getting hassled by customs, if you took a wrong turn getting off the bridge and you were the wrong color, your car could've have been a target for bricks and steel pipes. True, Windsor was a much more serene place to be but it wasn't all that socially clean.

Ghettos? Yes! Criminal activity? Yes! Racism? Yes! But at a much lower scale. Population in Detroit vs population in Windsor? Gotta go with the proportions. One thing's for sure... I didn't have the impression Windsor was a holy sanctuary. Nor was it the capital of mafiosos, drug dealers, etc... Very industrial city where almost everybody had work but then that implies an imposing circulation of money... the root of ALL evil.

All cities have good clean places and filthy and shitty neighbourhoods. It's up to you to choose where your going to hang out.

I heard about this. I will definitely not be traveling to see it. STD I feel your pain. I have a few friends the area. They are so pissed at the traffic. It was bad enough driving in there before all this. I shall just stay away for a while. At least from there houses.
