Who do you think made the biggest impact in Pro Wrestling?

I say they're equal to be honest, I can't stand either one of them though. I've always been a Bret Hart and Sting fan.

Hulk Hogan in terms of bigger popularity and crossing over to other media (even if they were b or d grade movies + tv shows).

However Flair has the better "wrestling" pedigree

Hogan. Easily. Hogan transcended pro wrestling. My mom knows who Hulk Hogan is. Ric Flair was a super star within the wrestling world. You could probably credit Hogan for WCW dominance over WWF Raw in the mid 90's.

I would say that was more like certain circumstances came together than giving full credit to Hogan.

Hogan is without a doubt the bigger name and changed the business more. Not in a good way but hey. Ric had the look, the mouth and the in ring abilities that Hogan couldn't touch. Hogan had the push as a "face" so he could come across as a world beater. Flair was a "heel" and his job was to make people believe that his opponent was a better wrestler and cheat them out of the win in the end. The "Nature Boy" was three times the worker that Hogan was. I've seen him pull great matches out of people that should have never been more than curtain jerkers.

Hogan is good for pomp and ceremony but he isn’t even worthy enough to lace Ric Flair’s boots when it comes to wrestling.

Hogan had the biggest impact of any wrestler ever, but when Shawn Michaels retired, I promised to never watch wrestling again. Not even to laugh at it.

The real question is which one made the bigger impact at bars and hotel suites across the country. In that respect Hogan is a rank amateur. Nobody could party like Ric. Trust me, I can't remember several of them.:glugglug::beer::boobies:ukey:

Hogan made wrestling popular and made it into the soap opera it is
but ask many wrestlers who get into the business who they admire most and they well say flair.
No wrestler wants to grow up to be a bald prevert who runs his daughter butt and goes brother all the time but they all want to be profiling and styling and 16 world heavy weight champ whoooooooo

Papa Shango, he had all those voodoo powers he made that black tar ooze out of the Ultimate Warrior's skull when I was a kid...so with those supernatural like powers he had the biggest impact on wrestling.
