how scared were you ? first time you flew

I fly all the time, and I still get freaked a little sometimes when I actually think about the fact that I am flying over the North Pole or one of the oceans at 600+mph and 38,000 feet in the air..... really, it's amazing and quite a mind-fuck. TO make it stop, you just have to take your mind off of it by watching a movie, reading, and / or listening to music.

I don't think there is anything to be scared of really. The planes themselves are safe and there are plenty of things to do to keep you from thinking about the flight.

I never got scared with flights. I know that if anything happens (and the probability is very low) I´ll die immediataly. There is no suffer man!

my fear is the 30 seconds of terror as the plane plummits from 30,000 feet nose first straight towards earth...sounds like a hell of a lot of sufferring to me

If it bothers anybody just remember that plane rides are a good time to catch up on sleep or take naps. Assuming you don’t have anybody weird sitting next to you that is.

yeah, I wish.....
i cant sleep on planes because I snore very loudly when I am in the upright position.

Oh you wants really scarry examples of flights...

Nighttime carrier landing.
Nighttime offshore oil platform landing (yes on a Helicopter) W/ added pucker factor of an aproaching squal.
Any Nighttime flight over the artic circle...
Any Nighttime Flight on an aircraft so small you can read the instruments over the pilots shoulder (really scarry when YOU are a pilot).

Being in an enclosed space with a bunch of strange people I most likely hate for what could be possibly countless hours? Fuck that shit... I did fly alot when I was younger and enjoyed it, it was pretty exciting then, but... as age has bittered me, I'd rather spend an extra 5+ hours in my comfortable, nice, fun car by myself.

It's good to be the king...
I was more excited than scared - my first solo trip - to Barbados (for a month, no less), and I had my Game Boy and up to a weeks worth of music on my Walkman for company...happy days
