what the fuck you lookin at?
statistically it's far safer than driving. First time I was on a plane I was 7 and I was really excited about it. Second time was about 10 years ago. I was excited then too. I actually like flying. So my opinion might be biased.

Took my first plane ride when I was 7. Flying's not bad at all. If you can take a few shakes here and there, then you're set.

First time i flew on a plane (not out a window, not exactly flying) I was 9 or 10 and I was more excited than scared. I did fly about 4times then during my childhood and teens and never flew again because, well, no money and no time, until about 2002, after about 10 years since the last time. I was a bit more scared then all because of the Dodo in GTAIII, remember that? How you would try to fly that little plane without wings and it just didn't stay airborne for more than a few seconds? Yup, I thought that's what would happen.

Your chances of perishing in an airplane accident are next to zero, so relax and enjoy the ride. I'll be taking pilot lessons myself later this year.

Chew some gum to avoid your ears from popping, that freaks some people out.
Don't look out the window until you're feeling comfortable.
It's not as bad as I thought.
I've been on about 100 flights and I'm still here.

never been on a airplane...and never will...if i was meant to fly...i would have been born with wings........ill take the truck...if you get there before i do..tell them im coming:wave2:

How bad is it? I have never found flying to be unpleasant in any regard. In fact, quite the opposite is true. It's exhilarating.

I have flown literally hundreds of times and it's a piece of cake.

I was nervous the first time I flew, but it's really no big deal. The only part that sucks is waiting in the airport. Well, that...and when your ears pop sometimes.

thats kinda how i feel but living in canada and if i want to go to jamaica or austrailia....well i cant drive there
always thought if i was the guy piloting the plane at least i would have some control over my own life and that would put me at ease...i hate being out of control...dont even like sitting in backseat of car unless someone i really trust is driving

I flew for the first time in about a decade a few weeks ago. there really wasn't any aspect of it that was particualrly bothersome. Do I get a little anxious when the plane goes from a deadstop to take off speed in about ten seconds? Sure, but it is a rush too. i don't think the plane is gonna crash, but I will be ready when if it does. Once in the air, i either read or slept.

I knew a guy who was a helicopter side gunner in Vietnam. Flew for 6 years without incident. As a civilian, he's flown 3 times. All 3 have crashed. Is that irony?

39 years old and Ive never been in a plane...i have an opportunity to take a trip this summer and I'm quite nervous about my first flight....really,how bad is it?

I fly about 2-3 times a year and I always get nervous before a flight, I'm always contemplating the "what ifs", but that's just me.

If you go deaf while flying hold your nose and close your mouth and blow , this will pop your ears and you will hear again.
this may very well happen to you.

But don't listen to me or any of the other jabroneys here (except jagger).
here is an expert telling all you need to know about flying.

Hmm. I always think I'm going to die whenever I am flying. I thought that everyone thought about the plane crashing, even if they didn't believe it.

guess i'm just a pussy. I also find being crammed into a seat with no foot or arm room in a pressurized environment to be rather uncomfortable.

yeah, I don't like flying. but it beats spending ten times as long driving.
