I had some serious issues with my computer after contracting a trojan on Sunday. I think I sorted it all out and the machine runs smoothly now. (I hope)

Yet, I'm thinking about buying a new one. I've had this one for four years now.

How often do you buy a new computer?

I try to keep at least 2 Windows (shit)boxes running at a time. I guess I average a new one about every 4-5 years. I keep telling myself that if the one I'm on now will last another year (it's almost 5 years old now), the next one will be a Mac of some type. I still have an old Mac+ from the mid 80's and do you know that sombitch still works?!

I didn't think XP was all that bad. But I keep hearing that Windows 7 is better than Vista. Is that like saying that syphilis is better than AIDS?

I'll keep one of these XP shitboxes running because I have to. But the next new one will definitely be a Mac!

Is somewhere outhere.
Well I got this one 2nd hand so i think it's about 5 years old and i'll
keep it another 5 years if it lasts it :)

Less than a year old. My old one, very first one I ever owned, I had since 2001 until 2008 of December.

I gutted that sucker and kept the tower for doing a tower mod and building my own computer at some point.

The one I have now is about two years old. But I've only had it for about a year.

I usually keep them until it's about to die.

2,5 years old, fixed some things on it, working really well :)

4 or 5 years old but I'm really just limping around with it. The space bar is broken and works only when it wants to. The batteries are all shot so I have to be plugged in for it to work. But I don't have much money to upgrade. Maybe I will get one form Santa??

The computer I am on now I got about two years ago. It is an Acer and I've never had a problem with it.

I bought a Samsung laptop a few months ago that is probably the best computer I ever had; it can play Fallout 3.

My laptop is about 2,5 years old, and I've been thinking of buying a new one, even though I really don't have any problems with this one - yet.

It seems the less I spend on a computer, the longer I have them. The one I am presently using for the internet was bought in the summer of 2001. My second computer is used for gaming, I bought it in 2004. Both run rather fine, me thinks, and with adding the right hardware, they have been running quite smoothly.

i get a new computer every year and i donate my "old" (still perfectly good and functional) computer to a local company that gives it to a local middle school student who needs it. it's a win-win.

I hope you leave on all the Priest/nun scat play vids you have stored on there.

The internet trolls of tomorrow need to start somewhere.
