No one will know what you answer so please don't lie. (To avoid ambiguity...this is the amount that you spend on consumption plus the amount you save in a single year). So it is after taxes.

This is going to be seriously skewed by where you live.

oh, if this is after taxes, after spending + savings, then I like bigswede have never made a dollar.

I attend Florida Atlantic University, but I do have a part-time job at a hotel doing concierge, earning $12.00 an hour.

Used to earn about 15K per year total. Now..um..wow.

Then, if you factor in earnings MINUS spending on necessaries..I might have 2K per year that I'm actually able to put towards entertainment, luxuries such as going out and spending 20$ (restaurant) on what would cost 2$ at a supermarket.

I had a recent spate of good fortune and like a first world nation, I had some runaway spending that just might.. just BARELY might catch me tomorrow. Before my direct deposit-paycheck is pre-auth'ed into my available balance.

Either way.. overdraft/accepted.. I'm fine. But I feel like smacking myself for this rare occasion where I just didnt exercise some financial restraint. Usually I wait until end of month before seeing how much I can truly spend on unneces.. eh, anything but rent and food. There.

I might just downgrade my internet service. No real use in having the best speed package these days. :(

You mean we should subtract what we have to spend on the necessities to keep us going from week to week and from year to year? If that's the case then even back when I could find work I think that would amount to the change that accidently fell into the couch.

There are almost a half-dozen Florida universities in the top 15 in size. Too many people here.

Well, according to the free tax service that did my taxes this year, I made $41k last year. That's $5k less than the year before. This year's already looking to be WAY shittier than last. :(

NOTHING...I am waiting for the gov't to put money into my bank account so I can then say I earn money.
