Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
The recent brouhaha surrounding Netflix ******* of their customers with price hikes and jumbled services got me thinking about how many people have dropped cable or satellite and get their TV programs over the internet, whether through streaming services or "other means".
I don't watch very much TV anymore. But what few shows I do enjoy (Bloomberg Financial, F1 racing, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, etc.), I can't really watch over the internet very easily/legally. If I could, I'd gladly tell DirecTV to kiss my ass - I feel like I pay way too much for what little I watch (almost $100 a month!). Since my area finally got a decent broadband provider, and my usage isn't limited like it was with Hughesnet, I'd really prefer to use that connection to watch TV. But IMO, we're not quite there yet.
