This can be a dangerous topic. I'm fairly new here at freeones, but I've contributed to the *****forum for a while, and several of the pornstar contributors there have been accosted for stating they weren't interested in shooting IR scenes. Don't know whether that has happened here, but a vitriolic (and largely nonsense) debate over the issue pretty much consumed several ADT threads, in some cases for years.
I will simply make a few modest observations:
Observation #1 - This probably doesn't need to be stated, but just for clarification at the outset, for all intents and purposes, "Interracial" in porn means "having sex with a black guy." While it's true that any scene in which more than one racial group is represented is technically "interracial," a scene is basically only considered IR when the male performer is black. The female performer doesn't even need to be white for the scene to be labelled IR; she can be asian or latina. But if the male performer isn't black, it isn't really considered an IR scene.
It's debatable whether a scene with a black woman is considered IR when she performs with an asian, latino or white male performer. I happen to think it is for pretty obvious reasons, but for some reason the controversy over racial preferences in porn seems to focus almost exclusively on black men performing with white women (or rather, with white women who prefer not to perform with black men, which tells us a lot right away, but everyone should feel free to draw their own conclusions).
Observation #2 - Most people tend to marry within their own racial or ethnic group. I'm not saying it should or has to be that way, but it is a fact, even in countries that have racially diverse populations. Most people also tend to adopt the religion of their parents, too, and Christians tend to marry Christians, and so on.
Maybe it's psychological, maybe it's environmental: perhaps when people begin to mature sexually, they are "imprinted" with an attraction for the dominant racial or ethnic group they are exposed to. I really don't know, nor do I think this is in any way decisive. But I think it's worth pointing out because not finding someone of another race attractive isn't, you know, completely outside the realm of normal experience, and stars who have stated they aren't attracted to black men shouldn't be labelled as pariahs. I would like to think the reason one person isn't attracted to someone of another race is because they simply don't find them attractive, not because they're black, or asian, or whatever. But I venture to affirm that no one is attracted to someone just because they're white, or black, or whatever.
Observation #3 - Okay, this may not be an observation so much as a recognition of a frequently misunderstood and unappreciated viewpoint, but some white female pornstars have stated - rather eloquently, I think - that they have no problem having sex with black men, they just don't want to perform with black men on film because they find the whole IR genre silly and degrading. There is room for pretty much every fetish in porn (as long as it doesn't do actual harm to someone else), but white women don't have to subscribe to the whole "big, black cock" domination theme any more than I have to enjoy watersports or spitting fetishes. In general, even the so-called Gonzo IR scenes have "plot lines" or "scripts" that focus on black cock worship, or white women finding themselves on the wrong side of town and getting gang banged or something. And while there's definitely a market for this theme, not all stars are comfortable with the accompanying degradation (explicit or implied) that goes along with this type of scene.
Several stars who have stated they won't shoot IR scenes have had sex with black men in their personal lives, and some have had long-term interracial relationships. But again, it doesn't mean they were attracted to them because they were black, only that they found them attractive. Regardless, even if they don't find someone of another race attractive, that doesn't mean they're racist. And not wanting to shoot IR scenes isn't an indication either way, in my opinion, unless they state that they won't have sex with someone of another race regardless of circumstance, and I have yet to see any admissions to that effect.
