Why can we buy car and life insurance across state lines but we can't buy health insurance across state lines? I have my car insurance through Nationwide and they are based In Ohio, why can't the same be done for health insurance?
How does buying a car insurance from a national company save you money? National car insurance companies don't have a set price nationwide, right? Car insurance in Montana costs different than Car insurance in Manhattan, right? Now, NY may require more coverage than Montana, but how exactly will buying a health plan across state lines bring down costs for people? It won't. The same "spreading of risk" models will be implemented. So, if you want cheaper healthcare, move to Montana, where your health treatment options will surely be limited:dunno:
Car insurance is a fraud need, btw...it's a waste of money.
What I mean is that everyone should be able to BUY health coverage not handed to them.
If you lower health care cost to an affordable price then people would be able to BUY the coverage that they WANT. Not take the coverage that the Government feels they need.
For Profit health insurers, if they ever are mandated against dropping people with diseases, will surely limit the options in their plans. Health insurers already have the "denying treatment" part down. If they pare down the coverage in their plans, they won't have to work hard to deny treatments, huh?
